Fall has arrived in Honey Springs, bringing crisp mornings, brilliant leaves around Lake Honey Springs, and plenty of visitors eager to take in peak leaf-peeping season. At the Bean Hive, Roxy Bloom and her crew are keeping up with the crowds one cup at a time, serving the new Leaf Peeping Latte with honey, baking up fall favorites, and putting the finishing touches on a special Pumpkin Spice Roast. Across the lake, the brand-new Honey Springs Country Club is preparing for its first big fall retreat, and Roxy has been hired to provide the coffee.
But before the retreat gets underway, Roxy is pulled aside and asked for a little help. Something isn't right at the country club, and her former-lawyer instincts and knack for noticing what other people miss might be exactly what's needed. Roxy agrees to keep her eyes and ears open, figuring there can't be much harm in doing a little quiet snooping while she's there.
Then someone turns up dead.
What was supposed to be a weekend of coffee, bonfires, and fall fun becomes a murder investigation, and Roxy can't shake the feeling that the trouble she was asked to look into beforehand is connected to the killing.
